Candidate must have either an LCADC, LPC, LCSW or CASC and possess at least two years of experience as a clinician in an organization providing services to populations seeking drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Master’s degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree required, with experience in Twelve Step programs. Facilitator – Part Time

Part time facilitator position at Alina Lodge in Blairstown, New Jersey. Job duties include creating a customer-friendly environment consistent with Alina Lodge care model, monitor and be accountable for all members of the community, assure they are safely accounted for where they are supposed to be, on time, and in compliance with Alina Lodge rules and regulations, report verbally and in writing any unusual mental or physical behavior among the students to the person in charge and appropriate clinical staff, act upon emergency situations until the proper supervision assistance can be obtained, be a visible and present representative of the staff that will deter negative behavior, redirect negative behavior and report negative behavior, objectively prioritize and manage tasks throughout the day independently, and manage the student population in all areas of daily routine and assist with any and all general operations of the day to day function of the Lodge, as needed.

Kitchen Staff

Alina Lodge is looking for experienced cooks and kitchen staff, and will train individuals interested in Part Time Kitchen work. Job duties include creating a customer-friendly environment consistent with the Alina Lodge care model, professional food service of Alina Lodge students, staff and guests, safely preparing food for meals and snacks throughout the day, cleaning the kitchen and all kitchen appliances and utensils, cleaning the serving lines, and all other duties as directed.

Transportation

Part time driver position at Alina Lodge in Blairstown, New Jersey. Job duties include creating a customer-friendly environment consistent with Alina Lodge care model, safe handling of the company fleet vehicles, safely transporting Alina Lodge students to and from appointments, monitor and be accountable for students while they are offsite with the driver, redirect students from engaging in behavior not permitted when they are in the vehicle or offsite, and in compliance with Alina Lodge rules and regulations, report verbally and in writing any unusual mental or physical behavior among the students to the person in charge and appropriate clinical staff, act upon emergency situations until the proper supervision assistance can be obtained, be a visible and present representative of the staff that will deter negative behavior, redirect negative behavior and report negative behavior, objectively prioritize and manage tasks throughout the day independently, report any vehicle issues, clean and maintain the interior of the company fleet vehicles, and assist with any and all general operations of the day to day function of the Lodge, as needed, such as dropping off or picking up mail.

A qualified candidate will demonstrate regard for the dignity and respect of all patients, their families, guests, representatives, fellow employees, volunteers and medical staff of the facility, and support the mission to provide consistent quality care services in a professional, caring and responsive environment. Nursing

Educational: Registered Nurse with Licensure in State of New Jersey or current LPN in the State of New Jersey. Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing or an accredited vocational school of nursing.

Experience: Special work in alcoholism and/or drug therapy preferred, but not required. Basic knowledge of computers preferred.

Other: Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships. Must currently Possess a valid certification for CPR/AED or be willing and able to Obtain such certification within a reasonable period following hire. Must be physically and emotionally able to perform the duties of job.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans, directs, implements and evaluates the nursing care of all students. Assists with the therapeutic program for all components of the inpatient addiction of recovery program.

• Assesses student and identifies nursing problems; performs luggage search

• Establishes priorities and set student goals congruent with other therapies

• Communicates care plan through Kardex, shift report and conferences.

• Protects student’s rights and confidentiality.

• Plans nursing standards designed to meet therapeutic goals and student needs including patient education, with the Nursing Director, Clinical Director and Counselors.

• Evaluates student responses to program and reports to physician(s) and counselors any objective and subjective observations of student behavior.

• Delegates nursing actions to insure maximal utilization of resources.

• Performs nursing actions requiring highly specialized skills

• Utilities ancillary departments for specialized student needs.

• Plans a therapeutic environment; maintains a clean and orderly department.

• Increases professional knowledge by reading professional journals and books and attending nursing in-services, staff meetings and continuing education programs

• Participates, as indicated, in the therapy program of the departments.

• Assists in the maintenance of a therapeutic environment for family members.

• Assists Family Director or his designate with admission of family members and the search of their luggage and valuables.

• Demonstrates an understanding of the treatment approach required for the dually diagnosed.

• Performs any other functions assigned by the Charge Nurse within the level of his/her competence.

• Demonstrates good student management skills, interacts appropriately with student treating him/her at all times with dignity and respect.

• Promotes and encourages a cooperative working relationship within the department and other departments.

• Other duties as assigned/ directed by immediate supervisor.

• Provides day to day care of patients by: monitoring vital signs and withdrawal symptoms; administering IV’s and IM’s as prescribed; administering prescribed medications ordered by the doctor; maintaining the patients daily chart according to TJC standards; evaluating the effectiveness of care and making adjustments accordingly.

• Maintains patient files by: completing nursing assessments on clients admitted to detox; making relevant entries to patient files; monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition using computerized documentation; completing discharge assessments and paperwork as required.

• Monitors patient’s comfort level and does whatever possible to help them through the detox transition period.

• Assists the physician as needed during medical history interview exams.

• Is passionate and thorough about safety in the workplace and abides by all drug reconciliation protocols set forth by and Little Hill foundation and TJC.

Alumni Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW: Alumni Coordinator provides support for the team members in the Department of Philanthropy to
execute the fundraising plan. A large portion of time will be devoted to Alumni Coordinator tasks
to maintain contact with alumni, relationship building and to track data. This position is the
Philanthropy Department’s liaison to the Clinical Team.

QUALIFICATIONS: Alumni Coordinator is an administrative position, college degree preferred with a minimum of five
years office experience in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Salesforce a plus.

Other: Must be stable in own lifestyle, be diplomatic and confidential with communications. Knowledge of
the 12 Steps of AA is required. Ability to organize and maintain a calendar of tasks with attention to
detail is essential.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivate alumni of Alina Lodge and Haley House
  • Assist with all Philanthropy Department events including but not limited to annual picnic, golf, 5K, etc.
  • Data entry and documentation of communications, actions, etc.
  • Coordinate and intermittently host anniversaries on Saturday and Thursday evenings with alumni as appropriate.
    (Flexible availability for hosting evening anniversaries is needed.)
  • Plan, coordinate and host alumni gatherings as directed.
  • Plan, coordinate, and host a minimum of 2 luncheons per calendar year.
  • Liaison to Clinical Department and update data base with pertinent alumni information
  • Input all Alina and Haley House admissions/discharges with demographics, create discharge letters, update
    addresses as needed.
  • Create analytical reports, weekly action reports and quarterly action reports, etc.
  • Maintain a high-level of confidentiality concerning all wealth information, sobriety status and abide by HIPPA
    regulations.
  • Identify and report donor prospects to Director of Philanthropy with pertinent information gained by
    communications.
  • Cultivate and register alumni for refresher program. (when applicable)
  • Contribute a minimum of 3 newsletter articles annually.
  • Solicit Google Reviews from Alumni
  • Attend software education courses as needed and maintain a high level of proficiency and understanding of software capabilities.
  • Provide administrative support as assigned by the Director of Philanthropy.

Maintenance Worker

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor who will conduct an annual written evaluation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Educational: Any combination of education, formal or practical that provides background of information for adequate maintenance of buildings, in a matter that will insure the preservation of buildings.

Experience: Basic understanding of building, maintenance & grounds, and equipment.

Work Schedule: Full time 40 paid hours per week, 8 hours per day. Scheduled hours may be adjusted.

Requires person to be “On Call” for maintenance emergency in rotation with other Maintenance Staff.

Requires person to be flexible to the operational needs of the Lodge.

Other: Must be stable in own lifestyle and remain objective and open-minded in relation to group or individuals. When designated, as in “On Call” status, e.g., coverage of emergency on site problems outside scheduled working hours, the worker shall remain 100% drug free to assure their ability to report to work in an unimpaired state. This applies to all 24 hours of the “On Call” day. Must have ‘clean’ valid driver’s license in state of residence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates a customer- friendly environment consistent with Little Hill Foundation Alina Lodge care model. Demonstrates regard for the dignity and respect of all students, their families, guests, representatives, fellow employees, volunteers and medical staff of the facility. Supports the mission to provide consistent quality care services in a professional, caring and responsive environment.
  • Cuts lawns. Trims and edges around walks, flower beds and walls.
  • Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches or twigs.
  • Cleans grounds and removes litter.
  • Plows snow and Shovels snow from walks and driveways.
  • Spreads salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup.
  • Plants grass, flowers, trees and shrubs. Water lawn and shrubs.
  • Repairs fences, gates, walls and walks. Paints fences and outbuildings.
  • Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts.
  • Sharpens tools such as weed cutters, edging tools and shears.
  • Makes minor repairs on equipment such as lawnmower, spreader and snow. removal equipment.
  • Shall assist keeping all Little Hill Foundation, Inc. buildings and equipment in working order, being sure that there are no health hazards.
  • Shall insure that equipment (with the exception of cars) is carefully and regularly inspected and all needed work is done carefully, promptly and efficiently.
  • Shall promptly report all major repair needs to the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Shall oversee, under the direction of the Supervisor, the maintenance of the heating and air-conditioning systems.
  • Shall perform minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs.
  • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
  • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisor or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings gears and other parts of machinery.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus such as transformers and wiring, and components of machinery and equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
  • Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions and other wooden. structures.
  • Operates Lodge maintenance/transportation vehicles in performance of all Duties as required above.
  • Performs other duties as may be delegated by the Maintenance Supervisor. *All other duties as assigned.
