Addiction Treatment Programs in New Jersey

Customized, Individual Treatment in New Jersey

Alina Lodge runs a full continuum of residential addiction treatment programs on one campus in Blairstown, New Jersey: medical detox, residential care, long-term and chronic relapse tracks, dual diagnosis, gender-specific programs, sober living and alumni support. Every program below has its own page, and the fastest way to find the right fit is to start the admissions process.

How to Choose the Right Program

Most families arrive knowing something has to change and not knowing which door to walk through. This list is the short version, and every program named in it is described and linked further down the page.

  • Still drinking or using, and stopping would be physically unsafe: start with medically supervised detox
  • Ready for treatment, and needs structure and time away from home: start with the residential treatment program
  • Wants a defined first commitment before deciding on more: start with the 28-day rehab program
  • Has been through treatment before and it did not hold: look at the long-term treatment program
  • Repeated relapses over several years: look at the chronic relapse treatment program
  • Anxiety, depression, trauma or bipolar disorder alongside the addiction: start with the dual diagnosis treatment program
  • Mental health is the primary concern: start with the mental health treatment program
  • A professional who needs limited, supervised work access during treatment: look at the executive rehab program
  • Finishing residential care and not ready to go straight home: look at the sober living home

Not sure which row fits? That is a normal place to be. Give us a call and our admissions team will work through it with you.

Alina Lodge’s Treatment Programs

Each program below is built around the same structured, abstinence-based approach Alina Lodge has used since 1957. The differences are length, population and clinical focus.

28-Day Rehab Program

The 28-day rehab program is the shortest residential commitment we offer and the standard starting point for guests entering treatment for the first time. It covers stabilization, individual and group therapy, and a plan for what comes next.

Residential Treatment Program

Our residential treatment program is the core of the campus. Guests live on site for anywhere from 28 days to two years, with a schedule built around individual therapy, group work, family involvement and daily accountability.

Long-Term Treatment Program

The long-term treatment program extends residential care well past the 28-day mark for guests who need more time than a short stay allows. It is designed for people whose recovery needs a longer runway than a single month.

Chronic Relapse Treatment Program

The chronic relapse treatment program is for guests with a history of returning to substance use after previous treatment. The focus is on what has broken down before and on building the structure to hold this time.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment Program

Our dual diagnosis treatment program treats substance use disorder and a co-occurring mental health condition together rather than one after the other. Treating both at once is the standard approach for co-occurring disorders, per SAMHSA.

Executive Rehab Program

The executive rehab program serves working professionals who need residential treatment without cutting every tie to their responsibilities. Limited, supervised work access is permitted where clinically appropriate.

Men’s Rehab Program

Our men's rehab program offers gender-responsive treatment addressing the specific pressures and patterns men bring into recovery, within the same structured campus environment.

Women’s Rehab Program

Our women's rehab program provides gender-responsive care for women, with attention to the distinct histories and challenges women carry into treatment.

Mental Health Treatment Program

The mental health treatment program supports guests whose mental health needs sit at the center of their care. Four condition-specific tracks sit under it.

Levels of Care

Programs describe what treatment addresses. Levels of care describe how much support surrounds a guest at each stage. Alina Lodge runs the full sequence on one campus, and our continuum of care page walks through how guests move between them.

  • Medically supervised detox happens on campus, for guests with active physical dependence who need to withdraw safely.
  • Residential treatment runs 28 days to two years on campus, for guests who need structure, distance from triggers and daily clinical support.
  • Sober living is transitional housing for guests stepping down from residential care who are not ready to return home.
  • The alumni program is ongoing community for graduates who want continued connection, luncheons and the annual picnic.

Therapies and Modalities

Programs and levels of care set the container. The clinical work inside them happens through the 16 addiction treatment therapies below, matched to each guest's treatment plan.
