Once a person has finished addiction treatment, many people struggle to remain sober due to a lack of drug-free housing. Many people begin using drugs or alcohol because their friends or family members were also using drugs. If they must go back to living with those friends or family members, they are at a much higher risk of relapse. Their living environment is incredibly destructive and won’t support their sobriety, so even a person who is highly motivated to stay sober can struggle.
Fortunately, a sober living facility, like Haley House, can help you stay sober for longer periods of time. It’s vital to learn what facility is suitable for your needs. To determine whether Haley House at Alina Lodge is the best choice for you, please contact our team today at 833.685.1700.
Make Sure That You Meet the Admissions Requirements
Most sober living facilities have specific admissions protocols in place to make sure that each person comes to the community with similar recovery goals. They should also understand what expectations go along with the facility. For example, our sober living facility requires our residents to be drug and alcohol-free. They should also be able to bathe, dress, and eat without assistance. If there are any co-occurring mental illnesses, our residents should be under a psychiatrist’s and psychotherapist’s care.
Be Aware of Mandatory Drug and Alcohol Testing
If you’re seeking a sober living facility, you’re committing to learning how to live life without using substances. Therefore, any sober living community that you choose should help provide accountability using random drug or alcohol testing. We provide this testing in a fair and dignified manner, and our trained experts will conduct these evaluations. We have an expressly written policy detailing the disciplinary steps we take if a resident fails one of these tests.
Find a Sober Living Facility That Offers Counseling
Our sober living facility offers a 12-step abstinence-based treatment program that provides various services that encourage the residents to stay sober in spite of life’s challenges. Our team has training and certification in a variety of treatment options, which we can provide to our residents if necessary. For example, our treatment options include:
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
- Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Anger management
- Psychotherapy program
- Family therapy
With this treatment option, you’ll be able to continue the healing you gained throughout the recovery process in an inpatient or PHP treatment program. It can also help you work through new situations that have arisen outside of treatment.
Learn More at Alina Lodge
Alina Lodge runs Haley House, a sober living facility for women over the ages of 18. It offers our ladies a supportive, safe, and nurturing environment for those who have finished an addiction treatment program. We give the women in our program the time, support, and space to practice living without drugs or alcohol. Our team emphasizes healing for the entire person and their family, encouraging them to recover from addiction. We have four primary requirements for our residents, including:
- Being a woman who is over the age of 18
- Being free of drugs and alcohol for a minimum of 30 days
- Showing a commitment to a life in recovery
- Wanting to work, volunteer, or attend school
To get into our community, we also require our ladies to complete a phone or in-person interview. Once we’ve invited them to join us, they must arrive in our community immediately after they complete their initial addiction treatment program. Most of our ladies stay in our community for a minimum of 30 days, and we recommend that they stay with us for about 90 days.
